When rebuilding my Mini sedan there was a kink in one of the wiper rack tubes. Espied some 5/16" fuel pipe, cut two lengths, flared the 4 ends, hooked up the motor and wheel boxes. Presto a renewed wiper rack.

Today after weeks of waiting for swivel pins for vent windows on the MGB...similar to vent windows on Clubmans...I had them (4 of them, only needed 2) but no sleeve spacers. No one sells them.

Hold it, the spacers are 5/16" with 1/4" swivel pin inside. Where's the 5/16" fuel pipe.

Long story short, 4 new sleeve spacers...so 2 spare sets.

Something else I find useful: 5/16 (8mm) rubber hose for gas use.

Need a washer or spacer fast and easy? Get some hose and a stanley knife and all done!
