I just bought myself another mini - 1977 round nose , it would appear to be an 1100cc . One of the things i am most curious about is it has the 3 gauge clubman instrument cluster fitted to it - were these ever fitted to a round nose?? If it is not factory i may attempt to go back to the original cluster. Here is what i found on the compliance plate - if anyone could give me some info that would be great!! 3/77 021X251N09/25668 1-2-3A-46-5B-6-7-8-10B-11-12-14-15-16-18-20-21-22A-23-24-25-27A-28-29-31-34 and the engine number is: 1015 10486 thanks guys! |

What tail lights does it have? Rounded or square? |

square! whoever converted it must of done it a long time ago as the previous owner was a youngin who let it go unlicensed, and by the looks of it, it hasnt been cleaned / painted / attended to in a very long time, when you find old 1 and 2 c coins inside that gives you some idea lol how hard is it to convert to the 3 guage roundy cluster? |

The first thing i would do before planning anything with the car is have a look how the front was changed because if it was done by someone who had no clue they may have effected the structure |

Sounds like it had a front cut job. Get someone who knows Panel beating to check if it was done properly. |

Cluster conversion is fairly easy but the hard part is finding a 3 gauge cluster! And then getting it for a reasonable price! |

Don't forget, you will probably need to put a hole in the firewall behind the carby if you are going to put the Cooper S style gauges in there, unless it is an early cluby with the hole there already. |
