Morning, tried to turn twiggy over and all I get is a click. Lights have power so I ran a wire from solenoid post to starter moter and she turns. So this means it has to be the solenoid yah? It's a rubber push type solenoid, not seen one before but it looks new.

Will it turn over when you push the button on the solenoid?

Try giving the solenoid a tap with something, they can jam. But yeah, sounds like the solenoid.

I got a $25 solenoid at supercheap it let me down in about 12 months with limited driving maybe 5 times started. I went to auto electrician and got a beefed up one for $50 starts a lot easier now.

Yep, well done on sorting it out, but the guys are right. The supercheap solenoids are almost only good for get you home solutions. It will fail very quickly. I've killed a number of them over the years.
Luckily, the genuine items are still available fairly cheaply online on eBay. Get one and keep the super cheap one as a spare for next time.
