Post subject:  New Clutch required? :-(

I was out stuck in traffic yesterday in my 74 leyland S when my clutch started engaging lower and lower on the pedal and it became increasingly difficult to get into first while stationary and idling.
By the time I got home pushing the clutch pedal in at idle was causing a loose rattling sound from the engine bay and a slight drop in idle revs. The clutch take up seems normal and there was no slipping or any other issues.

The car has only done about 10,000kms since the clutch was rebuilt.

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on here? I just spent money last month n new wheel cylinders and really don't want to spend any more right now...

How much is a new clutch rebuild if required?

Sounds more like your clutch master or slave cylinders are leaking.
Check the fluid level & look for leaks. Note that the master cylinder can leak down inside the car so can be hard to spot.
