I am still going with my build of my 75 Clubman. Just wondering how long some of you guys have taken. I am talking about a full strip down, shell painted and then everthing re-fitted (resto, modified, recon etc). I am looking at 2 years.

8 and a half years. Wouldn't say it's "finished" though.

Not unrealistic. My last build that I wasn't rushing to finish I did in 2 years. Ground up rebuild every nut and bolt, complete respray etc.

What grade of steel did you use on the nuts and bolts?

2 1/2 years so far, but it is registered and driving well. It will probably be ongoing, which is good as I think if it is ever truly 'finished' I will have to buy another one to tinker with.

Mine took a couple of months. It's my daily drive and I had the cash ready so it was a half week strip down, fit to a spit, off to the panel shop, re-store the subframes, install new suspension, bushes, brakes etc, get the shell back, new brake and fuel likes, re-fit subflames, wiring, engine, interior, doors, glass panels turn the key and go to the muster the next day (back in 2008.)
