Products exist, never tried them.
Most are centred around an epoxy coating on the inside of the tank.

I tried the soap trick! it worked lol.

grind some soap bar onto the leak

it stopped it from leaking, put some epoxy over the soap see what happens in the morning.

i think ill try this product out

KBS sealer worked a treat, had enough to seal two tanks .Watch for the small filter in the tank.

With the KBS and POR tank repair kits, be sure to move the whole tank around for the time specified to ensure the whole inside of the tank is coated.

Dont just pour it into the tank, whilst the tank was in the car like some people have!

+ 1 KBS.
Used it on bike tanks and cars.
Good product. Easy to order and quick delivery in my case.
Kit comes with everything to treat/kill rust and clean tank.
As above follow instructions and will leave you trouble free for years to come.
Cheers Rob.
