Quite a few people in the UK have done this. Try and get the Jap version seats coz they have speakers in the head rest, if you didnt know this already.

That's nice Fred, but we're talking about mx5 seats.
I think they might flip forward, some cars had storage space behind the seats.

The ones above with separate head rests are very early Jap spec cars. The tombstone style are common from the NA model. They do flip forward but not flip-and-slide like some from 2 door cars.

Don't get seats from the NC (current) series as they are too wide.
