They're the wrong PCD and they'd foul something shocking at 7" wide.
I'm pretty sure there's something similar with a thinner width out there for mini's.

Do a search, there has been lots of debate over the years regarding wheels from golf karts on minis. Wouldnt really recommend it, cant imagine the wheels were ever designed to handle the forces a mini would put on them.

Would seem like a fairly obvious unnecessary risk to take...

Alloy wheels have never been cheaper to import than now! Why bother with golf cart wheels!

Try www.force-racing.co.uk

Their wheels are absolutely porn and cheap too.

They do some pretty nice suspension stuff as well.

hehe yeh, i know i know...i would never put them on a mini... the wheels from that website are nice!!!! 130 GBP excl shipping a corner with no rubber is quite expensive for me though.
On the subject of wide wheels... I have a S body with the spaced drums, and the S steelies. I assume standard wheels are ok and never rubbed, and I want to make my own metal/plastic flares too. But as for wider wheels or if i wanted to drop my car down heaps...Do people cut out the guards out a bit, or do they leave them, bolt the wide flares on top and hope for the best? How hard is it to widen the body/cut the inner guard out abit

Generally with 10x5" they will fit no worries. If you step out to 6" wide or more you may have to cut a centimeter or two (not much at all) from the front of the front arches, then fit your flairs over that.
Their is no need to cut out the inner guards on a mini to fit wheels.
Some people have "tubed" the rear arches to fit wide 13's and drop the car right down. But this is still only the outer half of the rear wheel arch, not the inner. From memory I think Gordo has done this on his Starlet powered low rider van.
