G'day guys

im looking at getting one of these kits

solid
http://www.minisport.com/mini-spare-par ... embly.html

vented
http://www.minisport.com/mini-spare-par ... embly.html

i have contessa 10" rims

all of the previous posts on this seem to have been from several years ago and i believe mini sport have changed their calipers since then.

i believe the 7.9 with solid rotors will fit, my questions is will the vented rotors fit and is there anything i have to modify to fit the vented rotors

Ring them and ask. You can haggle on price while you're on the phone...

I don't believe they will fit, I have minispares 7.9 vented discs and 4 pot black calipers and I tried a set of contessa's, mamba's, cosmics and the only 10inch wheel I found to fit was the 10x6 minator wheels.

You need a rim that has very little "hump" on the inside of the rim.

If you use stick on weights on the inner face of the rim then they will probably foul the calipers. Either use the hammer on weights on the outside face of the rim or be prepared to grind away part of the calliper. I went the first way and couldn't recommend the second option.

What about the 7.5" 4 pots? Enough of a difference to fit under some Contessas? Or just better off getting std cooper s discs?

So your 7.9's fit inside the contessa mags?

Yes, mine do (just).

Wade your way through this thread ==> http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... sc&start=0

and you'll find a picture of the setup on my car. Hopefully if the calipers have changed since then it will be obvious. I've also listed what did and didn't fit, although in most cases the stick on weights would be a problem.

do you have to fit any spacers or anything like that for vented rotors?

no spacers on mine at all.

plus i run stick on weights on the inside of my rims and they are still there 3 sets of tyres later (not sure of miles thought.
