has anyone converted the clubman 3 guage cluster to the old style roundnose one ?

my clubby has a roundnose front end so im thinking of doing this. I can't imagine mounting it would be that hard, but will the existing wiring for fuel, temp guage work? and how about the speedo cable?

on a side note, did round nose mini's have the upper and lower crash pads? Im assuming if i buy a dashboard for a roundnose it won't fit my clubby with crash pads

There is a wiring loom available from Minispares and probably elsewhere, that plugs into the Clubby loom and has all the right wires etc for a centre binnacle conversion.
If I find it on their site I will post the link.

once you take clubman dash pads off you'll find original dash , you'll need trim for lower section and vinal sections on each side of center.

No Australian Built Round Nose Had crash Pads on the upper or lower dash Rails,
However all the rover Minis ( Round Nose ) Had upper and lower crash Pads,
Most wood dash boards avail to day are made to fit the Rover Mini,With Crash Pads
The Japanese often remove the Clubman STYLE dash and put in its place the cooper S
type dash, and wiring looms for this conversion are avail
I By the way Am Not saying a wood dash for a round nose without crash pads is not avail

I haven't driven it on the road but I do believe it all worked although it's bit of a chop chop backyard job.

Yep i did in my round nose van. It had leyland triple gauge and vinyl crash pads. Converted it back to original, wiring was pretty easy. Speedo cable had to be changed, has the leyland was the push on type. Well worth the effort, original looks the goods.

My clubman conversion. You need to remove the top pad to fit the three gauge centre cluster.
