I felt some wobble on the last drive and have found this
What has cracked there?

Nothing. The split washer is designed that way. |

Oh good.. I hoped it was. But the edges looked a bit rough.. probably just grit. Hub nut was a but loose. Will just try tightening it up a bit. |

I could be Wrong, But I would check Your drive flange where it sits up against the Bearing I think it may be worn Also in the photo the split washer looks like it may be sitting to far into the drive flange, |

If the nut goes loose (with the split pin still in place) there's a good chance your wheel bearings are about to die. Tightening it up will only kill them faster. Tim |

If it's been run long with the CV nut loose (which it looks like) both the drive flange (the thing that washer sits in) and the CV splines may be knackered. Along with the bearings... I'd pull the drive flange + rotor off, and look at the inner face of the drive flange. If it's grooved where it sits against the bearing you need a new drive flange. And if the splines are bad on the CV where it sits, replace that too. BTW that tapered washer has had it... and probably the nut face is worn. Whilst it's all out you might as well replace the bearings and seals, making a proper job of it.

The drive flange is The part that is bolted to the disc Rota it has splines inside where The CV fitts And the inner face sits up Against The bearing, As I said before I think You will find That this surface will have grooves worn in it which will upset the pre load on Your bearings. If You take the caliper off You should be able to remove disc and drive flange together check internal splines check wear on drive flange, als check splines on CV joint, As I mentioned before I also think the split washer is worn. and For the cost of wheel bearings these days I would replace them aswell if the drive flange shows wear |

Now I have seen it, I understand.. I'll pop mine off and take a look. What about the safety angle? OK/NOK to drive for a short period? And when did swivel hubs stop being a million dollars each? China? |

Here's how it looks. The washer. A bit of a ridge. 
The outer of the flange, - doesn't seem too bad. 
The inner. A bit of wear down there..

Ok, Needs Drive flange, split washer, and as I said before I would also replace the wheel bearings, also check the splines on the CV joint |
