Post subject:  Headlight Sizing

Yeah sorry if this has been covered etc but what are the dimensions of the headlight assembly? Mainly, the bulb diameter (6 or 7" or how many mm's) and the total depth of the assembly. I'd check myself but I'm about 1400kms away from my garage most of the time.. The reason I'm asking is because I'm wanting to find other modern headlights I can fit up to the Clubman. Ones found in hotrods etc with built in indicators etc etc... I have the be all end all conversion in the works but need a hand..

Minispares stocks them, even with freight to Oz they would be cheaper...

These Wipac Quadoptics are good lamps, I've had mine in for 12 years or more.

Do they have indicators, or parkers in the lamp themselves?

I Think They are Park lamps, I would have thought there would be a problem with ADR
having indicators in the head lamps, of course I could be Wrong

Yes they are park lamps. But you have to buy the park bulb holders separate, they do not come with the lamp kit.
UK cars had orange blinkers separate, not clear park/blinkers separate like we did.

What I was getting at is, he said they have indicators, not parkers.

Was making sure he knew the difference, and wasn't mistaken.

Might be true now, but I have 2 sets that came with out them. But last one was bought 3 years ago.

@Clovus, they are NOT blinkers, they are single filament parkers go in there.

So how many of you have/are using the quadoptic setup? Are the lenses glass or polycarbonate? Can you upgrade the bulbs without melting the lenses? Any other recommendations?

I've had no probs with the Quadoptics, (original 55/45 halogen bulbs)- I also have a set of Hella H4s going into the Clubby van. These are flat though and look funny on roundys or Mokes....

I think the Quadoptics are glass, but I'm not sure.
