How much is too much?

i just replaced the spring for my relief valve... started cold it shot up to 92pounds... turned it off after 10seconds as that is close to the end of my gauge... lol obviously that would go down after a while, but i think for the sake of a couple of dollars to snip 1 or 2 turns off the spring?

Snip 3mm off and grind it flat, put that end outwards (not against the ball).
Mine runs about 95psi cold and it soon falls back to 75.
I like 70psi hot (what Cooper and S are supposed to run at).

The reason it's high now is the 9/16" ball compresses the spring more than the plunger did.
