So, I am having a 1380 built up with an a plus box bolted to the bottom.
I had purchased a lightened and balanced pre verto clutch setup of a fellow member for the build.
I have now been recommended to go verto on this gearbox.
I was suggested early clutch plate wear may be a result of the pre verto on the A+ box.

Now I'M very hesitant to change. I think I was correct and my clutch choice will be fine.
Btw its an orange dot diaphragm with a next to new clutch plate.
I havent heard much good about verto's.

Opinions?

There is nothing special about an A+ box that makes it require a Verto clutch.

IMO non Verto clutches are better because:
1. The whole flywheel assembly can be lighter.
2. You can choose from blue , orange, grey, or double grey dot diaphragms.
3. They are way cheaper, the price of new Verto stuff is ridiculous.
4. Verto stuff is rare in Australia (Rovers & Metros never sold here).

The only benefit of a Verto clutch in a Mini IMO is less pedal pressure, as it has a `conventional' automotive style pressure plate with fingers in it..

I have an A+ box and block and run a pre verto clutch no problem.

Been in there for 4 years.

Just make sure it gets set up correctly if it's been lightened.
