You can pick em up for around $100 bucks is around the standard price. The kit includes the clutch plate, thrust bearing, and Pressure plate.. I think.. Actually.. there is often a kit on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=32072&item=4553487914&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Eh, though the price is about the same everywhere it seems... Not sure about the other questions though, I changed it myself last time, the worst part was getting the flywheel off.. which was a complete bastard.. Good luck |

it'll cost you between $300 to $450 to have a new clutch and machining done including fitting. This is dependant on a number of things' Mini clutch housings are a pain if one bolt at the back is still attched, if it has been left out, you can do a clutch in an hour, if you have the right tools. If you dont, get it done by someone reputable. The local garage will do it, but do they know minis..... ![]() Cheers Aaron |

well be careful who you go to. I was told by so called expert on the northern beaches that i needed a new clutch as it was stuck from lack of use. I had just got them to install a new slave cylinder and master cylinder for $500 and they said that they needed them to pull the caseing off and changet the plate. Another $600. I had a bad feeling about this so i went somewhere else and today as i was helping the mechanic pull the plate off we discovered that the clutch arm had been unthreaded all the way out so there was no way the clutch would work. We adjusted it back to normal and i went for a drive. How bad is that? what a bunch of dishonest pricks. I could have been driving my car for ages. Anyway saved myself 600 bucks. Im just glad io followed my gut and changed mechanics and went to Ivan. unit |

yes well, i wouldn't recommend some people thats for sure. There are some great people around, such as Ivan, Although i have not used him I have not heard a bad word about him and always good words. Before going with a Mini Specialist, ask the question and you will soon weed out the good ones from the bad ones. Cheers Aaron |

So true Aaron, Ivan's been great and im so stoked to find someone i trust. Back to the topic. If you want a new clutch plate kit supplied and put in i think its around the 500 to 600 mark. If you can do it yourself well done. save the few hundred dollars. I guess its like anything if you have the tools the knowledge and the time go nuts. unit |
