I've been doing a search for certain queries here, but haven't gotten very far in some of these things. Mostly pretty stupid questions for sourcing parts AU vs UK. Do the UK wipers fit a clubman? Eg: like these: http://www.minisport.com/mini-spare-par ... S0563.html fit a 78 clubby? My indicators aren't working, I can't hear the clicking of the flasher unit. Where is it (most likely) located? Been trying to sort out the wiring up the back end so i can fit in the fuel tank but indicators are no go. No clicking from the flasher so i'm assuming it's a dead unit, fuse or bad indicator stalk. I have no idea where the flasher is and the two fuses I can see in the engine bay seem to be fine, I gave them a bit of a sand as well too get a better contact. Reading the haynes manual (which wiring diagram is for my car?? why is this so difficult lol) indicates that there should be more fuses which i haven't checked? UK rubbers in Aus car? I'm assuming the windscreen front and rear are the same. Door to body seals? Rear window seal? http://www.minisport.com/mini-spare-par ... A8239.html Look rather different to http://minisport.com.au/prod37.htm I took out the rubbers ages ago so can't remember what they look like. I don't have the front number plate holder. Who sells them? I can't find any! Do I just make one or does the number plate mount directly to it? I'm sure I'll get more questions so I'll just keep them in this thread. Thanks always guys. Edit, another question already. What nuts & bolts do I need to mount the bumpers ? I'm assuming they're UNF so I'll have to order them. |

Do the UK wipers fit a clubman? Eg: like these: http://www.minisport.com/mini-spare-par ... S0563.html fit a 78 clubby? Not unless you bend them at the end a bit like I did. UK LH park cars have the wiper spindles in a different spot to our Minis 1968> My indicators aren't working, I can't hear the clicking of the flasher unit. Where is it (most likely) located? Under the dash near the steering column. Been trying to sort out the wiring up the back end so i can fit in the fuel tank but indicators are no go. I'm assuming the windscreen front and rear are the same. Front is. Door to body seals? NO, buy local. UK ones are too narrow and don't seal. Rear window seal? Only if you get a MK1 UK one, most are wider window than ours so need cutting. Buy local... http://www.minisport.com/mini-spare-par ... Sorted out the indicators, turned out to be a faulty unit. $20 later from autobarn and we're all golden. Question though, why are the rear indicators twin filament? Is it supposed to be reverse lights too? |

Yes. Back in 1971 they didn't have to be clear.. ![]() This was an easy way out (long before Altezza clear lenses became the flavour of the month) |
