Post subject:  Need a distributor cap

After putting the new tyres on this morning the car felt a bit funny.
Had a poke around under the bonnet and found a problem with the distributor cap.
The centre post was cracked and fell out when I took the cap off.
Raced down to Super Cheap and of course they don't have one in stock but can order it in.
They reckon it is a Bosch GL109-C.
Is this correct?
Even better does anybody on the Gold Coast have one laying around that I could buy off them?

A bosch cap on a lucas distributer? Doesn't sound right to me. You can get them from www.minisport.com.au or www.minis.com or most other aussie suppliers.

Lucas (original) is no more, really. All new dizzy caps now are aftermarket suppliers (even if you find one in a green `Lucas' box).
Bosch makes caps (and rotors, also points and condensers) for many non- Bosch distributors.
Including the Nissan Pulsar (Hitachi dizzy) which I have on both of mine.

I have plenty spare ones here you could have freebies. To suit a 45D which i think you'll have, unless its a 29D with the big clips?

I'm located at beaudesert these days though...
