Post subject: | Seat construction |
Has anyone had experience with constructing seats? I have been surfing youtube to no avail. What I am looking for is how to make a custom seat (foam insert) using a standard mini seat frame (then obviously retrim). All I am aiming to do is add a little molding to the seat and back to be more conforming rather than just flat. |

When I had my high back Clubman seats re trimmed the trimmer used denser/harder foam on the edges of the back and base which keeps the seat looking fairly standard but when you sit in them you sink into the softer/standard foam in the middles of the seat and the harder foam up the edges acts like a bucket seat and works very well. |

That is the effect we are after, not sure if we want to keep the original look though. That would be for the boss to decide ![]() |
