Supercheap sell bosch leads. Now they come in sets, or individually. Of course, a Mini isn't listed in their books, so I will have to work out what lengths the are myself! This is for my van, so has the coil in the front of the engine, if ya know what I mean. Anyone got the lengths handy? Does it really matter what lengths they are?

I just measured what I needed and bought them loose from SuperCrap for $5 each. They are good leads. No, the lengths are not that important.

While you're at it, why not move that freakin' coil up onto the RH inner guard where it won't get wet anymore, then buy a 0.5M lead for it.

If you have the MiniMatic heater, like I do, there's room behind it to bolt the coil on somewhere. Do that, then extend the 2 small wires, and buy a longer H/T lead. Mine's 500mm, I think. 8)

ummmmm, I know when I got my new leads, that the guy still had the Mini in his little catalog. Just gave me all the right individual ones. Got them at AutoOne.

And I think the spot in front of the dipstick I have my coil at, is fine:
If ya can get one, get one of the little seperator clamps for your leads, should help avoid crossfiring.

I guess the rocker cover could be polished up :o
is it much work being white. I'm thinking of getting a full respray and the white looks good (not the Outside) and makes the engine standout

ok, personal opinion here. I BLOODY HATE WHITE. I must admit, that photo makes the engine bay look real nice. In reality while it IS neat and reasonably well organised for an old car(everything spi-wrapped or covered) It's pretty bloody sad to look at for real. My car is entirely white, and it gives me the S****. It's just sooooooooo bloody boring.

If you're going to do white, I would suggest an Alpine white, and make sure it gets a real nice gloss(mine is quite flat). And just to get rid of the monotony of it, have graphics of some kind on it (checkers, hand artwork ANYTHING).

And the rocker cover is beyond polishing LOL.

But if yer interested these are the best photo's I have of my car......

Na I'm not got white with the body just thinking in the Engine bay.

Nice Clubby and atleast you would not be cutoff in traffic as everyone will see yee. Morris is bark blue and my wife always complain of being cut off.

I also have cleaned up the engine bay a little regaring to the wifes but intend to make it very clean by buying a new loom with extra length and hide it all

Gafmo
