Depends what the rods are. AEG521 rods (small journal ones, same as Cooper S) are more desirable than the big journal ones with the lumpy caps. |

does it have side covers? if no, I've paid between $0 and $200, and $100 for AEG521 rods... if yes, then attracts a lot of Cooper S tax - $400+ ebay is good for telling what something is worth |

1275 blocks are worth money as they are getting harder to get every day does not matter if they have side plates or not still 1275. Just about name your price mate if no one wants it, Just keep it and it is like money in the bank. Psalm 22:10 the book of Minis religion. |

There are bargains about if you unearth them, but otherwise IMO a std bore 1275 auto block's worth $250, a std bore 1275 manual block's worth $350, AEG521 rods if straight and undamaged, $150+ a set. These block prices are with original mains caps. No caps = it's a doorstop. By the time you buy a set of new caps and line bore it, the cost is out the window. S blocks are worth more, to the S fraternity. Your block is +.040" already but I wouldn't discount it much- as it can still be bored to 1360, 1380, and 1400. [edit] 1275 auto blocks are cheaper because they need some extra oilways drilled and an oil pump spacer plate fitted, to work on a manual box. |
