I'm sure someone has taken a full Cooper S or GT shell to sims some time in the past. How much does a bare shell weigh?

Might build me a rack in the garage...

It should be about 135 - 140kgs , MiniMania had reference a while ago and it stated about 310 Lb for a bare shell no subframes

No problems. Some forums don't like it but we have no problems with sharing links to other forums here.

I recon!

Get a good perspective about lightening the car... It all adds up. Though I could save more weight by going on a diet though.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

My CKD 850 weighed 132kg bare. Another Aus built 850 weighed 127kg bare. Weighed them one after the other.

So if I leave out one boot lid cable and fasteners I save 0.011kg

Wow, that's nuts.

I prefer just to say "It goes much better with just me in it!". 8)
