So on Saturday I put a deposite on a MkII Cooper S shell :D

After having a good look at it I've worked it out to be late 1969. Currently the shell is in grey primer but I wanted to try find out what the original colour was. From what I understand this would have been displayed as a sticker which is obviously long gone so where else can I look? Is there somewhere the sandblasting may not have reached?

Thanks!

Mike,
a bit of a hard one. Try up underneath the back seat. Pretty hard to get a plaster under the squab and they may thing you wouldnt look there anyway. On a positive note, if you find a colour you like then that was its original colour. No way to prove otherwise. Check on old rego papers as well, usually states colour (basic) green, blue, red etc
69 had some nice colours......good luck
G.

Can't wait to see pics, reading build threads helps me forget that I am doing nothing on my car :)
