A friend has just traded in this mini and I am trying to sort out what it is. Can anyone help?

It has Morris Mini Deluxe badges on the boot, rego sticker says 1969 morris. It has been painted silver but the plate says 1/sierra beige/3.

Numbers are
YMA2S2
35159
9YA/Ta/H 36407

Eng number and plate number appear to match.

Interior is red and in great conditions, has contessa's and twin 1'1/4 SU's. Silver piant job has cracks all over it (especially the roof) and rust is coming out in various spots. Photo's of the eng number and body plate below (I didn't fully check the number stamped onto the body yet to 100% confirm.)

the `69 Morris' on the rego sticker is an RTA code, it doesn't mean it's a 1969 model.
And with that body plate type and number it was not built in 1969.

My 3/1970 MiniMatic (with 3/70 on the compliance plate) also has 69 Morris on the rego label...

Yet on the pink slip every year, the tester puts 3/70 on that for the build date.

It is a Deluxe. Very late 68 or very early 69 is my guess.

Here are a couple of shots. At this stage it looks like it is a matching numbers Mini Deluxe. Going to check the body number to make sure.
