Post subject:  Suspension Advice

Hi,

I'm looking at replacing my front and rear suspension. I will be driving the car on the street and hopefully getting into a few motorkhana's and driving events.

Not sure if I should go with thes 2 kits to replace the rubber suspension

Or to go with the coil conversion
http://www.minisport.com.au/prod2059.htm

I thought I would ask the wealth of knowledge on the site who have been there and done it before.

For what it's worth I wouldn't worry about coil overs, the only reason I have them is rubber cones wouldn't fit with my modified frame.

All you need is some hi Los, decent shots and some negative camber arms. Wether they are adjustable or not depends on how much you want to spend, not super necessary in a road car

Ps, have a look on minispares.com and minisport.com to compare prices.. Suspension isn't too bad to ship

Are you talking about coilovers, or spring replacements for cones?

I have the Minisport UK Smootha ride kit in my latest car and it rides really well
Probably a bit soft for track but it still seems to handle quiet well

Glad to hear it's not too noisy
I can't stand noisy suspension

+1 for the Smootharide kit. Makes it almost as good as hydro ;) My old cones were probably 'work hardened', but were too harsh. The taller cones are much more compliant. If body roll becomes an issue, I'll add an anti-roll bar.
