well, the rebuild has been going along very nicely and is looking very excellent, much thanks to Rodney and his dad. they had built it back up to the head, and we have been waiting for a head all week. we have finally found one which just happens to be unleaded! nice.

so that will be going on on the weekend, then ill have my mini back next week :D:D:D

PS i know its been on here before, im going to have a look at it, but unleaded head... i know i wont have to use valvemaster for the valve seats but what about the rest of the motor? does that need the lubrication that was in leaded petrol?

OH thats exciting. nothing like the feeling of getting your
mini back on th road!!!

and nup, if your head is unleaded thats all that matters. so just
fuel up and away you happily go :D

Actually to do with the additive..i mean if you fill her up now and then forget... will it do much damage to the valves? i was told the damage is done over EXTENDED periods of time without the use of the additive... anyone know the extent of this?

im not really sure but i know it's better not to risk it!

though i reckon that the damage is not gonna happen too quick...not sure
