I've seen QIKMNI around always point it out the missus. Next time I see it I'll wave, could be a silver territory or MUDME black wrangler 4 dr in Pakenham. |
yeah, I know it's something to do with site costs or something but eventually something should be done, it's holding this forum back in the "commodore 64" era. |

The image hosting issue means we dont have to pay for using Ausmini. It is nothing to do with Commode 64 era computing - it is all to do with Scott Pocock being a fine upstanding citizen and shouting us Aussie Miniots a website to make good use of.. Photobucket is easy to set up and use. From the photobucket FAQ page: ( http://support.photobucket.com/entries/ ... hotobucket ) Welcome to Photobucket! Start telling your Story. You have decided to join the Photobucket community and in order to get the most out of your Photobucket, here are some quick instructions to get you started. 1. Upload photos to your account, we make it simple for you. We have a few different ways, try each one to see if it works for you! •Desktop Uploader for Windows or Mac: Uploading has never been easier! Install this application on your computer, and you can upload directly to your account without having to log in to your account through the browser. Once you have it installed and your account synced up, you can either drag/drop the images into the program or set up a folder that will auto upload to your account. •Upload through the browser: Easily drag and drop files from your computer into the browser to instantly upload to your account. You also have the option to browse through your files. •Mobile (Android, iPhone, iPad): You also have the option to upload directly from a mobile device with one of our user-friendly mobile apps •Email or MMS: This is a great way to upload without being directly connected to your account. Just attach the image, send it to the correct address and the image will be uploaded automatically to your account. •Import your Facebook albums: Have a Facebook account? You can import your Facebook albums directly to your account in one easy move. 2. Once you have the media uploaded, you need a place to put it! •Creating Albums is a great way to separate memories and organize your photos. All of these albums will live in your Library which makes it easy to locate your stored photos. There are three spots where you can create an album: during upload, from the albums page, or from the header. •Adding Tags to your photos makes it simple for others to bring them up during a search. •We also have a great Organizer (upper right corner of the album/library) tool that helps you view the photos the way you want them to be seen •Editing your photos gives them a personal flair. We have a great editor on the site, Pixlr. Play around with it to learn all of the functions, it's fun! 3. Now it's time to share your images! •Sharing your photos with friends and family takes little effort. •You can use our link codes to easily add images to your blog or forum. You can also send a direct link to your album for easy one-click access. •Sharing on different sites or social media can be done in a snap using the share buttons. •Set Privacy Settings in your account and for your albums, making it easy to hide photos you'd like to keep private or show the photos you wish to share with friends and family. Privacy settings for your account and albums can be changed from one location in your User Settings, or you can adjust each album individually. •Need to find friends to share photos with? Use our Find Friends tool to hook up your Gmail/Yahoo contacts, Facebook friends and Twitter followers. From there you can find friends who already have a Photobucket account, and those that need to be invited so they can join in the fun! |

Welcome Mark! If you have any trouble getting the image thing sorted feel free to PM me. Seriously if you can join Ausmini and post something here, you can get a photobucket thing happening and post an image. |

I think you read me wrong, I'm most greatful of having this site/forum thingo and thank all involved. I know running these things costs, depending on the set up involved. It's just that some of us are complete nongs when it comes to computers, I'm the first to admit I know jack s%#t, and the photo thing, although not impossible for me, is a bit tricky/time involving. I'm flat out just typing stuff with out pictures! ![]() ![]() [/img] |

Hey no worries. I have more than one failure at trying to get this to work. Use the preview button before you submit to see if it worked.... To insert photos..... click the Img button and [ img ] will appear. Dont add any spaces after the brackets. Paste the "Direct link" text from photobucket (looks like http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad33 ... AG0255.jpg ) Click Img* and [ /img ] will appear after your photo link so the whole string should look like this (without the spaces next to the square brackets): [ img ]http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad337/bluemini/IMAG0255.jpg[ /img ] and you should see ![]() Use my text above as a trial. One issue you may have is if you set up an album or image as private or password protected. Obviously this wont link correctly. |
