Is it possible? I know a 68mm imp piston small bore will give 1220cc what would 69mm give?

1251.92cc.

But beware, there are things to miss when boring this big, eg the oilway from pump to relief valve.

I'd not put a huffer or hairdryer on either, the cylinder walls are really too thin.

Why bother- these things were done when 1275 blocks were rocking horse dung, back in the 60s. Just come & buy a 1275 block.

Oh kev my boy, I'd never consider it! Just found it an interesting thread whilst on turb minis huge bore with paper thin walls! Would be curious to see the rods and pistons...

Cheers Doc

after reading this on turbominis, i tried to find out what pistons they are.
seems to be the Ford Valencia engine, 68.7mm diameter, 53.9mm long, 18mm pin diameter and 29.4mm compression height.
so it is about 4mm shorter than the Mini 998 piston, IIRC

I went through one block boring into oil gallery on number 4 piston to get imp piston setup, so I imagine that oversize imp pistons or other larger than 68mm would be very hit and miss.
