Congratulations on your new job. Well done for doing it for as long as you did, that takes real commitment.

Thanks mate, not as easy a decision as you think, first time since I was 15 that I don't have a job, done my toolmakers apprenticeship at Massey Ferguson then looked for something with a little variety, and boy did I pick a doozey, no regrets though,

Sorry to be pedantic but it is in my nature

Your toy is far from being a veterine, sic, veteran is up to the end of 1918.

But congrats on your long holiday :D

Good onya Dave and congrats on the career change.

You can only take so much without becoming really affected.

Apart from that, your just about to find out just how busy being a pensioner can be.

It takes all kinds to make an amusing chat room, thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragement, and mike, you are spot on, would like to sit down one day and share some experiences over a nice long cold beer.
Hope you summer is event free :-) :-) :-)

Is a veterine someone who served in Vietnam at the age of 19 :-) :-) :-) :-)

In my mind a veteran is anything that shows age, rusty areas and probably also blows smoke
