Hi all, just Curious i'm about to fit a set of competition bump stops to the front only of my clubman, just wondering if anyone knows, do they mount to where the bottom of the shock absorber mounts on the upper arm and face upward??? If anyone has a picture that would be fantastic! Cheers! |

They normally went on hydro cars - so yes they fitted where the base of the shock fits on dry cars... Cheers, Ian |

Yea cool, thanks mate, just needed to know where they mounted. yea I need to put them in, as it is a road/race car with steering and suspension all set up, when you go over a decent bump the tyres hit the top of the gu.ards.. |

if it's these, then I believe they will make your car sit up very high at the front... http://www.minisport.com.au/prod1030.htm you might be better off installing some 'competition' spec rubber cones instead |

Hi mate those are the ones!! Yea i thought that aswell but i think we are going to cut the rubbers down to get it to sit nice and assist the cones aswell. Yep ive already got the competition cones in it aswell, it's weird though because it's only the passenger side that tends to do it, i put new spax adjustables, that i got a mini specialist to adjust and it still does it, we think if we put some of those bump stops in (cut down) that it will fix our problem. Could happen on that side only because the LH guard runs hotter as the heat from the radiator starts to cause the rubber cone to go like jelly after few laps. |

That actually makes alot of sense Josh as i recently put an alloy radiator in and engine is 1340 with 286i cam, the radiator gives off alot more heat than before it stays hot for a while after i shut it down, temps are perfect inside though. But i would definantly not be surprised if that is what's doing it, it's obviously exaggerated when you carry a passenger aswell, as Dad and i went for a drive to Picton this morning... |
