Too many numbers for a K motor, should be 1015, and 4 other numbers. Doogie |

Doogie Nope that's for a Clubby, or Moke maybe. Mini K engine prefix is 10YJ/U/H , according to both the PUB1038 Mini K parts book and the Mini Car Clinic cattledog. Mini King cattledog says it's 10YC/Ta/H. make of this what you will. *waits for Morris 1100 to chime in...* ![]() |

Yeah the /U/ didn't sound right to me, U = centre shift (eg 850 or early Moke) |

There's the prefix for the Morris 1100 cc too. 10yc/ta I pick as a k 1100 |

You are correct kev 10YJUH is the long gear lever type (Similar To the 850 ) as Fitted to what most of us call the Mini K Van, among others. Mini King Book has 10YCTAH as Mini K sedan and 10YJUH as Mini K Van |

Cheers Colin If it is just "10H" then that's a pommy 1098 from one of their clubmans... the rest of the number certainly looks like a pommy engine number. Is it stamped into the block or on a plate? cheers, Jacob |

John, off topic but related-why do all the books say a Mk2 Matic body is YA2S4, I have owned 2 (1969 and 1970) and both were YA2S5? |

http://www.minimania.com/article/1520/E ... ta_UPDATED Can't take this as gospel (or close to it) but it lists that number/variants as belonging to the AD016 (land crab) shape Austin. EDIT http://www.mgcars.org.uk/mgccz/technic/codeseng.pdf again 10H/--/h is listed as a prefix for austin/morris/wolseley FWD 1098cc http://www.calverst.com/articles/Eng-en ... n_data.htm |
