It just shows the attention to detail that goes into a car like this.

Its been so common for so many years I believe its simply an alternative means of mounting a fan. An unofficial factory mod.

Nah only jesting. I meant its such a common mistake I have gotten used to it.

It doesn't suck actually when you turn it around although its easy to think it would. Look at a blade as you turn it around and you will notice the angle of attack is just the same, but now the blade shape is arse about. It will still blow, but not very well.

Met the owner of this car a few weeks ago, really nice guy. He mentioned this was the 55th mini he had owned. Looks great even with the fan on backwards hehe

Like eating soup with the spoon upside down.
It still works, it is just not very efficient.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, I have a similar fan to the one pictured and to me it looks to the right way around. The fan turns anti clockwise (when viewed from the engine side) and pushes the air through the radiator and out through the inner guard. From memory I double checked before I fitted the fan and it would only fit one way anyway.

Good spotting.

"This genuine powder blue with white roof Morris Mini Cooper" I think refers to the fact that it's a genuine Cooper and not that the paint is genuine.

Also since it's an Austin branded Cooper I don't see how it could be a Morris Cooper all at the same time!

There is very little of the unique Cooper bits left in that car.
At least he had the good sense to convert the car to hydro suspension though.
