I just bought some replacement elements for my Ramflos 1. should I use them dry or oiled. 2. they say to wash them before use ? so what do you reckon? |

If they are Lynx pads, I'd throw em away and buy Unifilter pads (LNX300 for SU and LNX400 for Weber). These are polyurethane foam, and come pre-oiled ready to fit. Under $10 each. Lynx ones have more restriction, and catch fire if not oiled (the oil has a flame retardant). They also crumble and fall to bits much sooner. If you don't oil foam filters they are just rock catchers, as the dust goes through them. |

Well I just discovered that the bases are for 1.5 in su not 1.25 in and I have 1.25in the large hole in the middle of the base measures 45 mm, I bought the new elements from mini bits. |

You can also buy them direct from unifilter up the central coast and they will post them to you; or one of their sydney distributors. There is a listing off their website. |

Sounds like it if the holes are around 1.5". If they are new can't you exchange them?? The filter pads are all the same size though. |
