It is no longer an offense to display an expired rego label.......from the RMS website......so you can drive your barn find with that cool 1970 rego sticker!

For NSW, the CRS is on a separate computer system.

This means Police can't use the scanner recognition devices, and the reason why you have to get an actual hard copy pink slip, not the electronic eSlip etc etc

I just got a renewal notice for two of my cars - my daily which now has no sticker at the top of the form, and one of my CRS cars which does still have a sticker at the top of the renewal notice.

You can now download an app from istore which allows you to check the current registration details of any ordinary NSW plate number - not the owners' details, just the fact whether it is currently registered and until when.
