Thanks. There are three warning lights in the temp/fuel cluster. Those are what I am interested in

Red=Ignition warning light.
Amber=Oil pressure warning light.
Blue=Headlight main-beam warning light.

No that is not correct. On my GT instruments the high beam is at the bottom of the speedo. At the top of the fuel/temp cluster there is an extra warning light where in the two clock cars the high beam is. This light has a globe holder in it and I need to know what it did.

Oops.... I shall read the book again.....

The light at the top is shown in the diagram but is not marked.
And the Highbeam is at the bottom of the speedo. :oops:

Could the English version have had an oil filter light?

If it's green?, it would have been for the filter. Like earlier Minis. Maybe..

Chris,

Here is a pic of the manual.
Image

The high beam light (blue) is shown as at bottom of the speedo, and the light at top of gauges is not labelled at all. Funny thing is though, on my car, I'm sure the HB light is the one on top of the gauges and is blue! I will check tonight when it is dark. Also, yes, the instrument cluster is genuine and and correct for the car.

Gavin

Gavin, please let me know what you find. I wish I had a car to hook it up to but none of mine are working.

If you mean the warning lamps on the top peak of the dash above the speedo they are the same as on an LS one of which is "brake failure" Some of the latest produced Clubbies had them.

Yeah, I think he is referring to the two square bezels that are moulded into the top crash pad (ABOVE the instrument cluster)... not the ones in the dials...

One is oil, the other is brake.... but cant remember which was which... sorry

AFAIK ONE of the lights in the dash cluster was never used...

As for the square lights on the top dash rail, I have two, one on the right for the handbrake and one on the left for brake failure..

:? Hmmm... a friends clubby had those 2 bezels, one had OIL printed in white letters on the actual lense, the other had BRAKE on it. Maybe they were custom... dunno....
