Post subject: | Clubman info |
Hi all! I have come into the possession of a 01/72 Clubman and I am trying to gather some information on it. ![]() I am the third owner (still in the family) of the s#*t brick (bronze beige) but only the second to drive it. It was place in a carport/holes in the roof/falling down shed in around 1984. It only surfaced twice after that. Once by my uncle to see if it still ran and to put storage oil in it (1987) and once by me in 2010. All that was repaired was all four brakes replaced including master cyl, new tyres, fluids replaced, one new tail light lens, one front park light and a battery... o and a GOOD clean and she was rego'd and on the road. Was on the road for 12 months in which time the fuel pump seal crapped out, so a temporary repair with a elec fuel pump was fitted. Back in a better shed it went. till now. So this is what i know... (It was a country car and the first owner wasn't of sound mind so go easy on it!) 01/72 model just under 20 000 miles. (have been assured it hasn't gone right round once.) dint in LHF under the bumper repair to RHF guard (just see some bog were the paint has chipped off and slight colour change to area) slight surface rust along some of the joins. as well as drivers floor and battery box. cracks in vinyl floor and small hole in hood lining (mainly from kids sneaking in and playing in it. I know. I was one of them!) some scratches and small dints I was also told it was compleatly original? ![]() ![]() What I would like to know. ANY info anyone can give me on it! model/ spec If it is really original (can supply any photo you need) if i can get them loaded. Whats it worth and what I should do with it! (leave orig / restore / upgrade) |

Heres a good place to start... i found mine details on here http://www.minis.com.au/page5/page5.html Cheers Bill Here's some info from another thread on here by Morris 1100 YG2S7 = Mini Clubman, Y = Australian manufacture. G = 2S = 2 door Saloon 7 = Model variation number 7 = Mini Clubman (6 = Leyland Mini, 8 = Clubman GT) All Clubmans have wind up windows but the YG2S7 should have chrome around the door frames. Single tank standard and would have had an 1100 motor with a remote change gearbox. Should have an engine with the prefix 1001 or 1004. There should be a number stamped on the radiator shroud that is welded to the inner guard. |
