All i see on ebay is $50 850 engines.. Where do you get , say a 1275 block with caps? |

A block with no caps is a doorstop, the caps are not interchangeable. By the time you buy 3 new steel caps and then get it all line bored, you could have bought 2 blocks, WITH caps. I do have a couple of auto blocks, still std bore, WITH caps and bolts. Can modify to suit manual box. [edit] including oil pump alloy spacer. |

The beauty of ebay is you can ask whatever you like. And keep relisting at the same price, looking for that mythical buyer! All part of the fun. My main gripe withebay is that the word mini has largely been hijacked by the BMW variant, so searches are a little bit more difficult. |

FYI I was at Mini King today and there was a 1275 block with caps with a sold sticker on it for $200........................ EDIT: He also uses 998 blocks as doorstops
