Hi I have a 1275 A+ mini engine that has been sitting for a while (5 months).
I did replace the camshaft and head
When i started the car i realised it had no oil pressure on the gauge.
i decided to investigate and guessed the oil had drained from the oil pump, i added oil while pushing the car backwards in 4th to prime the oil pump.
after 20 sec of cranking oil was coming out the oil drain hose (that goes to the filter) it was sort of gulping out i guessing this indicates the oil pump is working??
reconnected that continued to crank but no oil is coming out of the oil pressure gauge hole.
inspected the oil pressure thing, it seems clean and free

does anyone have any ideas of what to try next?

thank you
wolfmini

Sometimes you get an air lock where the hose or pipe goes on the block.
I'd prime the pump again, then refit the hose but leave the coupling nut 1 turn loose. Crank until oil RUNS out, then do it up. Crank again.
It takes maybe 10 secs cranking for oil to get thru the hose & filter and up to that fitting on the block.
