The "Mini Muster" was again a great turnout this year. We even had "MUTNT" there. It always amazes me to see that people always have a different design and idea to do things to their Minis. There were so many different styles of Minis even ones cut short and flat. My Convertible got a third placing in the best modified square nose class. Trophies this year were a composit of 'Old Mini Parts" mounted on a base. Very creative. There were also some Mini Owners from NSW that made it up for the weekend. I personally did not have much time to have a look around as besides having two Minis in the Display being the red "MINNIE" cinvertible and the Blue race Mini with the Cross flow head, I also had a swap stall. Did quite well and sold lots of stuff. The best seller of the day for me was the 65 Amp Alternators and Hi Torque Bosch planetary gear Mini starters Sold out of Angel eyes, but dont worry I have more on order. We were lucky that the Rain that was forcast did not happen it actually fined up very nicely towards the end of the morning. Event well organised by the Qld Mini Owners Club. Well done Douglas.[/b]

It was awesome to see that many mini's in one place, and some bmc orphans as well.
I took quite a few piccies and had a great time. but left my camera in my falcon.
My mate even bought a mini of off matt reads dad.
So i had to go all the way home get my falcon + hire a car trailer for him come back and grab the mini and tow it back to my place (he has no room for it) so after that my car decided to spit the dummy and stop dead.
So not a good ending to a great day.

yeah Tony, exccellent day all up,,,super good quality minis, heaps & heaps of good parts for sale, lots & lots of happy people,,,,top day.

Trophys were great change from the norm, a fair bit more personalised & a lot more effort than just a piece of plastic hey?

The secret that i had to keep was that Jan was bringin her Mutant mini to the show & great to see the effort put in to get it here , we tuned it for her on the thursday so she could go on the saturdays run,,, there`s a few "set up & design" issues that i`d like to see her pay attention to & maybe correct before i could do much more "Tune" work but basically we addressed the stumbling/studdering/acceleration issue that she wanted sorted so she`s happy. :-)

I`m not sure but i think she took more than half those trophys home with her :-)

well done to all the club commitee for a great day,,,big effort & very well organised

Top day!!!!!!!!!

I even closed my swap meet stall early this year so for once i could go for walkys to have a gork around & a chat ,,,

Really Great to see people like Phil Swinton , John Lennon , Ian Anlezark, Fred Sayers ,Billy Westerman, ken Nelson & my Dad Jack Read rock up, very fast mini race drivers in their day :-) well,,,some of em are still pretty quick :-)

Cheers to everyone & hope you al had a great day, i know i did :-)

Yeah we know your old mans still got some pace in him. We had to chase him a bit from the muster to his house (that estate has some go in it) to buy some wheel bearings from him.
