Omg  Thats an awesome find , the fact you still had documents from 1987 is cool , must bring back memories.
And your catching up to me you must be around 43 years old " or is that young " nearly time for that mid life crisis and splash out on some motorised memories.

Funnily enough " well to me " if you times those service prices by 7 you would probably be around todays price.

My apologies i see the car wasnt 18 years old when you bought it , you were :-) , so was it new mini K when you bought it ? vietnam the draft got you or am i missing something again ?

Still great memories in those receipts , and a mini at their peak .

Funny thing in in over 30 years of driving ive never had that new car smell , even in my younger days when i first could drive " the 80's " i liked older cars they had loads of styling " which has given way to aerodynamics nowadays " but hey my fisrt car was a 1969 ish xw ford falcon " $500 " which i upgraded to an xc coupe worked 302 V8 " $3200 " was an absolute beast and a sheer pleasure to drive " but it had a preference for rust :-) .

Then came my first mini , a yellow mini which unfortunately didnt stick in my mind much , only it was nippy and very rattley and easy to park and fun to drive lol , oh and it was a leyland clubman. That was it till many toyota's later im back to the mini

Todays cars are great mechanically " but less stylish in my mind " and getting under the bonnet on the old cars wasnt so scary , i dont know how many times we pulled out 6 cyl's and put v8's in all the fords we had , valiant chargers etc ? and all the slabs we drank while working on cars ....... ahh memories .

Damn im rambling on ...... i hope you have a great time on your trip to Hawaii , a friend tells me the ribs are awesome.Get plenty of pics and share them with us ....... well im off for another bourbon .

Cheers Bill

That's very cool stuff Davo.

$75 for a heater. A fair chunk of change in those days. But about the same as what a used one of the same type costs now. 8)

Good to see insurance prices are were always hilariously expensive.

If the purchase price of the car was $19,350 then the insurance cost you $1500 in today's money.

Also - $800 for a heater. Just wear a jumper you sook.
