Can anyone from Western Melbourne recommend a workshop that will happily take a Mini for RWC?
Alot of calls I make they all seem unwilling.

Cheers

Hi molly,

Coopar is after a RWC for his classic Mini. Life's a LOT easier if you own the new MINIs!

A lot of RWC guys have never worked on the old Minis, so aren't confident on performing roadworthies.

There is a mechanic on Melrose Dr next to the racv shop. He is fair. Picked on a few things but fair enough, seat belts fraying, rear drums. But all required doing.

I'll try and get the name of the place when I get home. They are required to do a test on the brake pressure etc which they can't do with drums but he just ticked it with dads car.

A bit further out, but these guys gave me good honest feedback for my Minis at the time, and were comfortable with them.

Not Airport West but I am in Lilydale and do RWC Inspections at work. My family has had Minis for over 40 years and I have had them for over 25 years.
If you don't find anything closer we can help.
Link Automotive in Mitcham should also be open next week and can organize a RWC for you.
Good luck and hope this helps.

Just got mine done in Geelong, I think the guy went very easy on me. Picked me up on number plate light faulty, missing wheel nut (don't ask) :-) & a possible oil leak. All resolved in two hours :-). He was very easy on me.

I had my address incorrect. As I said, this bloke is happy to do the roadworthy but don't expect him to write you one on the spot. he will check that the vechicle is safe. Cheers
