Hi all Got a van a few weeks ago, its got a 998 with a cooper cam and 295 head. It had a fair bit done machining wise 3yrs ago... Problem is it has sat in good condition and been assembled. Guy gave up as he couldnt get it to run! Did a comp test and zero compression.... Any ideas where to start? |

An easy one to take the rocker cover off and check if a valve hasn't become stuck down. |

Check the rocker clearance first. It's amazing the number of people who replace the head gasket (the new one may be thicker or thinner), throw the head back on with the pushrods in random places, and expect the clearances to be right without adjusting them! ![]() ![]() |
