Post subject:  Japan Mini Workshop/Showroom
Hello everybody. Looking to find information about a Mini showroom/workshop - it was featured in a Magazine but can't find it. Can somebody tell me what city this is in? Or maybe a website link? Cheers.

There are heaps of classic mini showrooms in japan so you will need to be more specific.

The biggest is probably mini delta in Osaka but there's also turtle classics in Nagoya beans minis in Tokyo and another in Hiroshima its name escapes me but they do lotuses too.

I was just after the 'must do' showroom - still tossing up between Tokyo and Osaka. Heading over there for work and taking the missus who is a Japanese teacher so will have some downtime to fill! Cheers.

Osaka is the best to visit, they have a little showroom with a Paul smith among others and there is one guy who speaks perfect English.

The others are pretty tiny and fairly out of the way.

Unfortunately on our last Japan Visit in November 2012 we went to the Mini Delta shop in Osaka to find it closed. Even though the signs were still there the shop has shut down and is now empty. We had a chat with the guy in the Cycle repair shop next door and he rang their phone number to find out that they had closed down. Possibly moved somewhere else.

I was in mini delta in April 2012, There is no way they did a midnight runner as they have 2 store fronts 3 floors plus workshops. are you sure you where in the right place?
As you can see they wouldnt have gone anywhere overnight.

I have to correct that. Delta closed the shop in Osaka and went somewhere else which at the time was too far for us to go for a look. Apparently they have a bigger place than the one where they used to be and they do more cars than just Minis now. Plus they have a website.

Most of these are pretty far out would recommend a car to get to.
The only ones worth a window shop are mini delta and turtle classics. Turtle classics also have a Yokohama location if that's any easier.

I put up a thread with pics of the places I've mentioned if you are looking to get an idea.
Also although they do get a lot of minisares UK bits. they alwo have a huge range of local bits. Not as big as the uk scene but they put us Aussies to shame. Definitely worth a look.

Mini Maruyama is worth a look - it's a showroom/memorabilia shop/workshop in Yohiro, on the east of central Tokyo. I went there when I was in Japan early last year, takes about 45min by train to get to from Nagatacho station, I think, followed by 500m walk.

Nice little place, Maruyama-san doesn't speak much english but is happy for people to walk around, take photos, etc.

I'll post up some photos if I get a chance later tonight.
