As the post suggests I would like some info/recommendations for an engine refresh. I currently have what I think is a stock 1275 from a 1275LS with a 40DCOE weber.

I don't want to go crazy and spend silly amounts but do want to get some improved performance.

Cheers James

If your paying someone to rebuild your engine & gearbox with some perfomance modifications your looking at $7000 minimum.

Hey James,
Pull the head off and see if its been bored at all.
A decent rebuild I'm guessing you could go rebuilding everything from gearbox to head.
Depends if you do most of the work or if you get someone else.
I've been quoted by wilsons and Glidden around $500 for a standard gearbox rebuild to give you an idea.
Then maybe some new pistons, bit of head work and she would be good.
Just shop around for parts because locals aren't always cheap!!

Cheers, Rhys

P.s you don't need anymore power you beat me in a drag so your doing alright..
