Hi all.

There was a post recently about external mirrors. One of the comments suggested using motorbike mirrors so off to ebay I went to see what wonders could be had.

I found a few options.

I am trying to find something that Isn't too out of place and has an led indicator built in.

So far I found these:

So finding something that looks ok with the LED's in it is a challenge. I like the first one the best.

Question is has anyone else done it. If I don't add mirrors with the indicators on them I'll have to look at another side indicator option. It seems like a good way of adding extra indication high up where people will see it.

that first one doesn't have an LED in it...

Tex have a good range of mirrors (but don't have LED's in them)

I take it this isn't for a mini? If it is why do you need side indicators?

Hi Bubba. Long time no see. Are you coming up to the muster this year?

I am not a big fan of tex.

Yes it is for the mini. I want to add side indicators to assist the blind drivers we have in Queensland see the car when I need them to.

So it seemed like a good idea that there is this big range of mirrors, albeit ones needing mods to mount on a car, because it helps me with putting a mirror on the left side along with the indicators.

And they appear to be cheap so why not? Easy to remove if they don't work out.

I like the 3rd set cus they look similar to the Tex mirrors that are common on minis, personally I'd like to come across some mirrors with the led's on the outer vertical edge so there's a greater chance of people beside will see them.

Hey.

Yeah im thinking I will be coming up for the muster.

Ahh Queensland drivers - all makes sense now :D

You could always grab a pair from a wreckers which would be cheap. But they wont be chrome and have the "classic" look.

Goodluck.
