just getting the exhaust sorted on my mini and was thinking of just changing the pipe to 2" but im starting to think that might be to big.. would that be right? the motor is a 1310. |

2" is OK on mine (1360) and Chong's (1330) but both these motors are giving 120HP+ at the crank. A 1310 roady 1310 motor on SUs will be happier with a 1-3/4" system. RC40 and a Maniflow LCB works good. |

But yes, 1 3/4 is plenty up to and including 100bhp. More than that 2" is worth about 5-7hp over 1 3/4 but your intake and port work has to match as well as medium or large bore headers. I'd say do 1 3/4 for more low end torque. PS. I set a car alarm off the other day (regular occurrence) just by idling next to it, and it was inside a garage and I was outside

My mate has a 2 inch stainless system on his +110thou 998. Yes it had lots of work done and a downdraft webber but it didn't kill back pressure at all and it was pulling 92hp atw.. Sounded really sweet aswell!! I'd go a 2 inch on anything above 1275. That's my opinion anyway! |
