The caption says this has "split level chambers" Can somebody splain to me what split level chambers are? Am I seeing right? The exhaust valves look like they are set deeper into the head. ![]() |

Hi MG Rocket You are right they tried running the exhaust valve a lot lower than the inlet to try to stop the inlet charge flowing out of the exhaust valve on over lap but it did'nt really work, another thing they tried was to run 1and 4 cylinders higher than 2 abd 3 in compression because of the robbing effect. The way i test each cylinder peak torque is to pull one spark plug off at a time and run the motor to peak torque on 3 cylinders to see if they all make the same number on my engines they all show the same.
