Hi All,

I'm repairing a front subframe that has threaded towers (not studs). It's a wet subframe but the original bolts were rusted in position so they were cut out. So now we are drilling and retapping to suit new.

Does anyone know the thread size - I'm thinking it's 5/16UNF but unsure.
I tried using the search but no results were available.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

They are definitely 5/16 UNF. I had to retap one (when in the car!) to get one of the 4 bolts to screw back in.

Awesome, thanks Doc for the quick reply!

That would be a nasty job doing it in the car, glad mine is out.

Thank you.

I welded some steel rod to the tap, with a T bar across the top.
