 Post subject: Price of EN40B crank

Hi all, i've decided to get rid of my EN40B crank and put the proceeds towards a new billet crank. Just wondering what is a reasonable price I should be asking for? It is in good shape, has been crack tested and is 20/20

These cranks today would be worth $$$$$ at least $750.00 If it is not cracked and does not need a RE GRIND.

Forged cranks are stronger than `machined from billet' ones.

I'd say your 1275S crank is worth $450+ if it's not cracked and doesn't need a regrind.
Just a guess.. but I'd want that if I was selling my spare (I'm not).

its worth what someone wants to pay for it, anything from 400 to 1000 i would rather buy a brand new swift tune and be done with it

I thought that was the reason people used billet cranks because they were "stronger" now I find out they are not as strong as the forged ones.

So why would people buy a billet crank?

Because they are Bling,
Or because they are a custom shape (eg 8 counterweight race ones),
Or because they want a specific stroke (eg for a 970S, or 1071S) and a forging is not available.
