Howdy all. Just a quick question. The temp sender unit terminal broke off a couple of days ago. It's on a Mk2 cooper S. Are all series A's the same? Thanks for your help

Hi belldane

the size and thread of the sender unit should be
5/8 -18 UNF is 18 threads per inch. Most new sender units are not that size

here is a thread which talks about different sizes

http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=34489&highlight=thread+water+sender

i am not sure of the electrical characteristics of the original ones
hope that helps somewhat
