Just fitted a set of Maniflow free flow extractors with a single box rc40 exhaust to the 998. Where does the bracket on the bottom of the extractors bolt to? It looks like it should bolt to the bottom bolt of the output shaft cover but doesn't line up properly. Or does it bolt somewhere higher up?

Keep tapping it up, it will eventually need to line up with the side cover.

Are these the single piece extractors or two piece?
I have the single piece and threw the bracket in my box of useless parts.

Yeh there the single piece. Are they prone to cracking if that bottom bracket isn't fitted?

I bent the bracket until it lined up with the bottom bolt on the drive shaft cover
You may need a slightly longer bolt otherwise if too short they will strip the thread easily

I have two sets fitted. Done several 1,000 miles, including the Hay motorkhana – no cracks yet.

I think some fit things incorrectly and because the part fails they call them crap. Maniflow extractors are very well made in my books better than any I bought made locally.

I have seen a few sets of these freeflows crack at the top Y join, usually because the motor was moving about (engine steady probs) + the bottom bracket not fitted.
I doubt they would crack if you have a remote shift box (not rodchange).

Yeh box is remote shifter and I also replaced engine steady bushes both sides as well as engine mounts. Engine doesn't move at all so should be all good.
